Screening of Inbound and Outbound Exchange Students Has Been Completed

Screening of inbound and outbound exchange students for the Inter-University Exchange Program has been completed at each university, as shown in the chart below. The chart explains the number of reciprocal inbound and outbound exchange students for each program.

According to the data reported by the MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology), the number of students who study abroad tends to be decreasing over the years in Japan. At the same time, many of the students go on study abroad or show their interest in studying abroad in the United States or Australia. As one of the three universities conducting CAMPUS Asia program, our challenge for the future is to increase the number of Japanese students who study abroad through our program. As a first step to overcome this challenge, Nagasaki University is informing the program to students as best we can by organizing briefing sessions, uploading information on the webpage, and posting posters on campus.

Nagasaki University also plans to organize regular meetings with its partner universities to discuss and decide matters to be considered for language lessons, courses of study, laboratories to be assigned, student accommodations, and the daily support system for the inbound students.
