On-campus briefing session was conducted at Graduate School of Engineering.
On November 19, 2018, an on-campus briefing session was conducted for prospective graduate students who will enroll in Graduate School of Engineering in April 2019. The session was intended to give a basic information about the long-term study abroad based on the Double Degree Program (hereinafter referred to as “DD Program”) as part of the CAMPUS Asia Project. As for outbound students from Nagasaki University to Sungkyunkwan University, Korea based on the DD Program of 2019, they need to be enrolled in Sungkyunkwan University in April 2019. Therefore, the session mainly covered the long-term study at Sungkyunkwan University based on the DD Program next year. The deadline for application is set on December 14, 2018 at Nagasaki University.
In the beginning of the briefing session, Prof. Tada, our project manager, explained in detail about the outline of the project including the previous experience of student mobility in 2017 and the field of specialty that students can learn at Sungkyunkwan University. In the latter half, two graduate students who studied for a short time at Sungkyunkwan University, Korea and Shandong University, China in 2017 shared their experience of studying and living in foreign countries.
Assoc. Prof. Sugimoto from Course of Civil and Environmental Engineering then provided detailed information on necessary expenses and application period with regards to joining the program. Another on-campus briefing session will take place in April 2019 to cover the (a) long-term (one year) study at Shandong University based on the DD Program, (b) short-term (six months) study based on the credit transfer system and (c) summer program (two weeks). We sincerely hope and expect that many Japanese students will join our program.
